Speakers.
I want to change the speakers in my pickup. There are tweeters in the dash which I am not going to replace. What type of speakers do I need?

Sean.

10cm is standard size.
Plenty of info on here if you use the search button above, a lot has been discussed.
Cue K9F with his search button wizardry.

No! You are the 'ICE Aficionado' Steve. Bow down I do wiggly amps (not the subwoofer/speaker variety) and voltage. Laughing If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Thanks for the replies. Would speakers with tweeters in mess with the sound because of the separate dash tweeters?

Calm down dear, time for your meds. Whistle Rolling with laughter

Back on topic, I'd have a look at these two: http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/shop-online.aspx/10cm-speakers

Built in tweeters in the speakers will be fine, I have them.

If you want really good bass though your better off with a lower frequency handling speaker, woofer type I.e. 1 or two way speaker and rely on the tweeters for your high notes and frequency.

I have a sub for my bass so I like the clarity of coaxial speakers with tweeters in-built.

What sort of music / style do you prefer? Quality and pitch or bass and raw power?

I listen to all manner of things. I think clarity would be the main requisite. So basically any good 2 way will do?

The 1065 kenwoods in Steve's link are great, got them in mine on his recommendation Thumbs Up
I also just unplugged my tweeters as they muted the tone somewhat, sounds much better without them! Cool Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
