Gents
You would be impressed by the work these dent blokes can do , had a guy work on my freebie 2 and you couldn't tell where the dent was when he was done ...and he was local to you, being on earth as well....

Get a dent man to look at it,, You would be surprised what a good one can do

On the 09 110, someone !! Twisted Evil dropped the bonnet to hard, and dented it just above the AC pump,, even thought it looks to be a fair bit of clearance, they can dent,, Was than right in the line of sight, Dent man sorted, without even lifting the bonnet !! California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

If you spent a fiver on it, it's a fiver that could have been saved. Whoever buys your truck in years to come will NOT be worried about dings and scratches and rust, they'll be buying an old truck which will be expected to have... dings and scratches and rust.

If they cannot get at the dent from the rear they have several hook type things that they glue on over the dent using a special adhesive, they then use tools to pull the dent, once finished they use a special solvent to release the glue. someone jumped on the bonnet of the wife’s car a few years ago and that is the technique the dent guy used, when he had finished there was no evidence at all of the dent.

I dented the front of my bonnet with my finger whilst pushing it closed . 1 day after getting it from the dealer . The dealers mechanics then put 3 big dents in my drivers wing top ( whilst they were changing the transfer box and front diff ? ) yep and there all still there 2yrs later .
So dilemma time - chequer plate in the wingtops or so what , it's a defender ( thayr ment to be there )

You going down the chequer plate route or you going to leave it. It's like my wife says. You could get it done and then it happens again the following day. Damn planet is short of Kryptonite !

I'v had chequer on my wingtops on every landrover for about 25yrs . But this Time it's a NO . And I'll tell you why . The older model defenders have a slightly different shape wingtop ( personally I can't see it ) but all the new plate you buy now doesn't have a nice even rolled curve on the end , it's an abrupt angled edge and I hate it . There's no reason why the old style chequer plate can't go on BUT you can't get a hold of it anymore . Oh and it's been shortened also , I want it from the bulkhead to the end of the wingtop seam . So it's dents for me

I looked at the chequer route but the following day you could end up with a dent on an area where you can't stick chequer plating Damn planet is short of Kryptonite !

Problem with that logic,, first dent gets left, then so do the 2nd and 3rd etc etc,,

Then she start's to look as thought its not been cared for, if the body is like that, what about the rest like !!

That £5 saved today could run into £1000's further down the line California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1
