Help looking for a hotel
My wife is about to celebrate her 40th in a few months’ time (beginning of April)and I am looking for a place to go for the weekend that is kid friendly as we would like to meet up with her brother and family for the weekend.
Ideally this place would have some outdoorsy things to do and maybe a spa for the women.
Location somewhere around Leeds or York and this would be at the beginning of April. Not to bothered if it is North or South of these places but at least easy to get from the A1.
If all else fails it will just have to be Centre Parcs but they P me off when they pump there prices up during the school holidays and unfortunately this is when it will be.

Any ideas would be greatfully recieved. 2.2 2012 110 utility Orkney Grey

It's probably a bit too far... but it's a kid friendly country hotel, with a high-end bistro restaurant & boasts a new spa complex; the beautiful North Norfolk coast is just 12miles away & Peddars Way is on your doorstep to gently explore in the Landy Laughing

We stayed at the Parsonage Country House Hotel just outside of York when we visited BAS in September.

Very pleasant Thumbs Up

The Novotel in York makes an excellent child friendly base. Been twice with extended family and works well. Also within range of Edinburgh.

What about Knaresborough ? The Dower House Hotel is nice and has a Spaand gym. There is rowing on the river a few mins walk away, the Castle to visit and also great woodland walks, again a few mins from the door. Harrogate is a short drive or train ride away (or York or Leeds). Also close to both the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. Our blog - http://landytravels.com/
