tax demand - self assessment
Is anyone a tax expert??

On the bottom of my statement reads

'The amount to pay is small. If you do not wish to pay this now it will be added to your next statement but you may be charged interest if you pay late'

As I owe 35p and don't pay it by 31st January, will I get a £100 late payment penalty or just interest on 35p?

Just interest on the 35p.
I wouldn't worry about it. Thumbs Up

Send them a check for £0.36 the extra penny will give them all sorts of headaches as amounts will not match-also you will have the smug feeling that they owe you, albeit only a penny I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine
