Okay, so I may have fibbed about getting parts cheap from other members and offsetting the cost of new mods by selling "spare parts" which I "got a good deal on" Whistle

In any case, she knows I spend the kid's inheritance on the Landy and still tolerates me Thumbs Up

Kids are Censored off though Laughing Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

I have always been totally honest with my wife and she with me, that is why we have lasted thirty six years in a happy marriage. Anyway I am such a bad liar she would know immediately.

My wife does sometimes find what I spend on my Land Rover hard to understand, but them so do I when she spends £100.00 at the hairdressers Whistle

I am HIS Wife, and as far as Land Rover stuff is concerned, a good proportion of it (if not most these days) is for my 90! Thumbs Up Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

Scared of the wife? No chance she's under the patio Brookside style..... Laughing

The partner on the other hand I'm not scared of but tact and diplomacy has sometimes meant in order not to upset her I have fitted certain items when she has been at work, got stuff delivered to my place of work rather than home, and parked my Defender the other way round a few times to ensure what I have fitted isn't blatantly obvious. I am simply placing her feelings first and maintaining the 'Status Quo' of happiness and contentment.

........and they all lived happily ever after........ Rolling with laughter Bow down If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Don't worry Gilarion I do not know you BUT I do know Pam W's HUSBAND.

So unless you have changed your occupation, moved to the correct side of the Pennines, have lost a few years, I can assure your wife that you are not married to Pam W.

However I can NOT assure your wife that you are not a bigamist as that is a completely different question, which I do not know the answer too! Whistle Rolling with laughter

Great minds and all that......I 'like to think' I've outwitted her but she too is returning my consideration by not telling me she knew anyway.

Hope that makes sense.....I knew what I was trying to say.... Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Mrs the farmer is the least of my concerns about new bits of car, Mr the farmer senior on the other hand never ever misses even a bolt head having changed orientation never mind a whole new piece, git. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Well it`s like I said to my wife, ( we both work full time).
I don`t smoke, gamble, after 3 pints I`am asleep. I`ve got no debts. Everything I own is fully paid for.
That being said I would give her my last penny. She also holds the ebay password IT`S saved me thousands Very Happy Excuse the spelling I`am better with spanners and wires.

Female point of view now.

It's not just you gents that bring things in under the radar Smile

At the end of the day, we all work hard and have a right to spend our money on what we want or life would be very dull. If you don't drink, smoke (as suggested) then why the heck not spend it on your Defender. In fact I'd go as far as to say that you'll get far greater enjoyment out of something for your Defender than a drink or smoke that will last you a few minutes!

We often have customers ask us to deliver stuff to work addresses so that the misses doesn't find out Mr. Green

Always happy to help out 'husbands' hide their purchases Thumbs Up (or wives for that matter !)

Sorry for any confusion chaps!

It was referernce to the rather offensive (to me anyway) manner in which some chaps say "the wife" rather than 'my wife". So I am 'HIS wife" in the same way, not I am "the wife".

But as I said above, my husband (Dave W) has nothing to fear. That is as long as he fixes my Land Rover and buys nice things for it! Whistle Rolling Eyes Shocked Very Happy Our blog - http://landytravels.com/
