Covered transport for Defender recommendations
I'm looking to arrange collection of my new 110 direct from the dealer in the NW for delivery to Zagato for chassis treatment before the car is driven on salty roads and has a dry chassis.

I've submitted queries to two transport companies I've found on the web - neither of which have replied.

Please could anyone recommend a car transport company which offers a covered vehicle/trailer service which will fit a 110.

Many thanks

Anyvan is the place to start

Then a classic car magazine for more specialist companies

A mate is having a new Defender 90 delivered up to him in Stirling on Monday 17th, I'd be pretty sure the transporter would be interested in a return load if he hasnt already got one.

I'm happy to enquire if it were of interest to you.

You might struggle a bit as even the largest covered trailers are too low inside for a landy (I've been looking for one for my toy car and figured I'd see if there was one that would also cope with a Series landy) - which means you'd be looking at someone running a covered truck (and some significant £££) to do it.

Depending on you location, NW Recovery (Wirral) have a covered tilt'n'slide or, I could ask on a recovery forum for you ? But would need some details i.e location to collect and drop off to and when. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Thanks All. It's the personal recommendation I was after, daft I know but I want to make sure my new pride and joy is looked after!

I've sent a message to Howley.

I'm looking for collection from Williams Landrover in Manchester and delivery to Zagato's house in Reigate.

I think the shipping agent we used to get our Defender to Australia and back also does UK based movements, they have a fully enclosed multi deck car transporter truck. As you can see form the pic, the whole body lifts up for loading and then seals back down when it's in transit. They normally transport more exotic cars than Land Rovers.
