Scotland 2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SW Tamar Blue
Puma Hand Brake Adjustment
So my 5 year old Defender passed it's MOT last week, but I've had an advisory about the hand brake:

Quote:
Parking brake: parking brake efficiency only just met. It would appear that the braking system requires adjustment or repair. [3.7.B.7]

Does anyone have a guide on where to look to adjust it? I've been under but didn't want to dismantle anything.

Cheers,
Simon

Workshop manual would be ideal for this, someone here no doubt could post up with easy access to it?
IIRC the handbrake needs to engage with no more than 3 clicks (don't hold me to that)
Again this info is likely on here if you do a search.
The handbrake can be adjusted easily especially if slack.

Excellent, thank you! I'll be getting up early tomorrow to give it a go...
