Any one blown away by the gales today?
Don't know what the wind / gales were like where you live but in Wales they were pretty strong so much so I decided to have the day off as I did not fancy driving along the A55 and M56 in high winds.

Been quiet, dry and very mild all day here.... But the tail end of Hurricane Gonzalo must have crossed the channel and guess is now over France, as wind is picking up here at this very moment, threatening skies, and the forecast is that we will get +100 km/hr gales overnight...
Have read that this storm killed one person in London, and it caused havoc with road, rail and air traffic in the UK.
Taking public transport, and the SVX remains safely stored and all locked up in underground office parking. Thumbs Up

At the moment we have survived with all our trees intact but it has been pretty wild. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Following on from this advice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNW-rOe1I9A

I decided not to wake up until 10am, I didn't notice strong winds at all and I'm in North West Wales, a bit gusty at ~2pm this afternoon but nothing worthy of being called a storm..

Had the bonnet up just after 1:30pm and managed to fix the water blockage in my heating air intake, I did experience a screwdriver rolling off the wing in a gust but... it wasn't exactly a storm and it definitely not "Extra tropical" as it was classed. Sheep

The M56 had a few crashed already on my commute this morning! (And this was at 06:30!) An engine to TDi for!

Gale 9 Bft here at the moment, in the afternoon already a lot of trees came down, several cars were hit. One hour ago a lot of big hail stones came down here, will inspect the cars tomorrow at day light for damage Shocked . It is just decided that the Oosterscheldekering will be closed tonight, this exceptional.

Dreading the carnage when I get back home to north Wales. I left an army 12x12 tent in the garden, it's probably in the Irish Sea by now! 1990 Defender 300TDi
