depends on what back axle you have as some have cup washers fitted ( actally fixed to the shocker mount on the axle ) to the axle and some don't , can't remember what years are what
but would think a 91 would not have the fixed cups but looking at the picture again I would say all four are for the bottom and reuse the top ones ???? but the holes don't like right now I'm confused as well |

Its a Salisbury Rear. The brackets don't include any kind of welded washer. Theres just the bracket with a hole in it.
None of the washers will fit over the thick part of the top shock mount. I'm beginning to think that maybe I was supposed to reuse my old top washers. They were pretty rough though. I dunno. |

yes would say you four for the bottom
top washer like the bottom one nearest the rubbers in pic two like the top ones in pic but with smaller holes then the ones in the pic and a lip round hole to fit in hole in axle mount bottom washer same as top washer but with smaller hole top washer I mean top of the bottom mount reuse top washers (chassis mount) in the pic the two top washers look like they got a bigger hole then the rest , bit hard to tell I think you should have three washers with same size hole and one with smaller hole |

lettering washers A - D (A, B on top starting on Left etc)

Look on the shockers themselves they have numbers on them relating to the picture diagrams from bilstein showing how the washers should be mounted

Got it sorted. Thanks guys. I took my old top bushing washers, sandblasted them, powdercoated them and put em back on. I also ordered some stainless ones.
There still seems to be a lot of contradiction from reliable sources as to which way they go. I went with my best judgement and installed the top ones with the flat side away from the shock and the dished side towards the shock. For the bottom ones, I mounted them as per the bilstein guide. |
