Heading to the Pyrenees
Hi All

Heading to the Pyrenees in a few weeks with two teenagers...... driving down through France and plan to be in the area for around 6 days. I am very familiar with France and travelling through France but am a little nervous of travelling in the Pyrenees by ourselves although we are reasonably handy and the 110 TD5 XS is well equipped and a lot more capable than me!

I have downloaded some Roadbooks courtesy of deep down (big thanks!! - great resource!! Thumbs Up) and have looked on Wikiloc but it would be great if somebody can recommend some easy tracks/roads with great views.... we plan to head for the southern end initially (Ceret, south of Perpignan near the border) and would like to discover Andorra.

Any advice appreciated..... also does anybody know the situation with wild camping?

Andorra don't bother its crap unless you want duty free booze and fags. I was told this before I went last year and thought can't be but yes it is, the bit of France you come back into is a bit rough aswell not stunning in any way. I can highly recommend the foret de Iratty and the pass over to Pamplona. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

You haven't left it late.

I booked the crossing this morning, euro tunnel. Want to see millau bridge then into Spain. That's all we have planned and we leave in 8 days Whistle

Have you seen the Roadbook downloads posted by deep down? There are some for the Pyrenees.... I have downloaded and reduced the file size so easier to handle if you want them.....

Bit of a tip if you happen to collect tesco club card points ???

If you do and have accrued for eg £20 in vouchers then on the tesco club card website you can triple their value when you purchase euro tunnel tickets.

Full details on tesco club card website,

Cost us £70 to cross in May but £ 60 of that was paid for by the vouchers Thumbs Up

Not sure if you have seen the video I did ???

If not here it is
