TBH, no, not heard of them. But can add them to the list of comparables should the JW's go sometime.

Must admit I almost smile when I read a PowerfulUK ad, or is it a shake of my head in disbelief?

These are the people who advertise some of their lights as not being E marked but will pass a UK MOT but will still be illegal.

Read that particular advert and it is full of mistakes, missing information etc etc

It clearly states that they are Out of Stock but 'These are in stock in our UK warehouse for fast shipment.'

These lights are fully waterproof and this means you can now drive through water and not come out with blown bulbs and headlights that look like a fish tank ! We left one of these lights totally submerged in a bucket of water for 2 days and there is no sign of water ingress - not even any condensation

Now why not quote an IP rating? Waterproof under 1/2" of water??

Why no mention of light output? What has wattage got to do with light output? Why not give a measured light output in lumens?

OK so these items are still not cheap but these are much more affordable than other versions on the market.

Well at £590 are they that much more affordable then Noldens?

Noldens are £575 on webshop or £525 in group buy. At least we tell you the actual IP rating and measure light output of the Noldens in lumens.

Just ordered some Noldens from Brendan. Having doen a fair bit of research I woudl say they look like the Phase 5 or 6 Trucklites which are old tech now.... and not worth that money.

Just don't quote me though!

Noldens IP 6K9K JW Speaker 8700 Evo 2 IP 67

Noldens measured light output 1700 Lumens JW Speaker Evo 2 measured light output 1150 lumens

Nolden RHD available in UK NOW

JW Speaker 8700 Evo 2 RHD NOT available in UK now.

So Noldens have better light output, better IP rating then the Speaker 8700 Evo2 and ARE available in the UK.

I have not heard of any condensation issue or corrosion issue with the Noldens yet.

Really?

Truck-Lite LED lamps are manufactured in the USA and are now standard fitment on 90% of all US Military vehicles with Truck-Lite product having been proven on vehicles serving in the Iraqi and Afghan theatres since 2007.

What in 10% of their vehicles?

The US military are very unlikely to use non US firms headlights in their vehicles.

So what the US military use as headlights in their vehicles is hardly relevant to the European civilian 4x4 market!
