Puma bulkhead in older Defender
Hi guys, new to the site but have owned and rebuild land Rovers since I was 14!
I'm thinking of building a 110 for my latest project I'd like to hear from any one that has fitted a puma bulkhead and dash to an earlier vehicle either a td5 or 300tdi.
what fits and what doesn't?? wiring wise I know the rev counter and temp gauge work from the puma ecu anyone over come this yet??
and most importantly has anyone managed to get the puma heater working??

thanks

Aaron

I've seen it done, but it's bloody awkward by all accounts! The best option I've seen is to to fit a Puma dash, but fit a Td5 instrument binnacle. Looked nice and seemed to work well. Thumbs Up An engine to TDi for!

A few people have done it now you just need to print out the diagrams and work through it. You'll need to be very competent at wiring. I think the companies that have done it commercially aren't going to share the info too freely unfortunately.

Nick, I'm an electrician so as long as I can get all the information the wiring shouldn't be a problem.
If its possible to get the heater to work as well as it does in a puma then all the other hard work will be worth while!! Mr. Green

Hello all,

I’ve just found this thread. I’m doing the same. Tdci to 300 tdi. I’m also going auto. Did anyone find a wiring diagram? Or suss out the can bus issue for the dash?

Thanks
