For my driving style id like something with more bite, and when I'm
Driving between houses over hartside etc I can easily cook standard brakes...

And they look very nice.

The only time my brakes get seriously hot and fade out is if I am getting a proper wiggle on through Milton Keynes Dual carriageway brake roundabout dual carriageway brake roundabout you get the idea do that 12 times in a couple of miles and see how bad your brakes smell and don't work any more If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

I'm an 'interiors' guy and don't get involved in brakes at all - my question is, what's wrong with the standard brakes ?

For normal driving, nothing,as with nearly all brakes tho braided hoses go a long way to increase performance, but can still imagine the weight of a truck and very hard driving and braking could cause issues, you also get huge amounts of braking for very little effort (like air brakes onna lorry)which always feels good, but I think for most it's moar bling,in this case I approve Thumbs Up .But i'm skint so wont be buying em Sad . Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Like i said, ya can't beat APs.
Had similar a similar 6/4 piston setup on a HSV GTO Coupe that we owned a few years ago. ALWAYS worked, under ALL circumstances, and they actually seemed to work better when they were seriously hot,....we got 'em smoking a few times,....awesome brakes.
If I was going the big brake route on our Defender, it'd definitely be these, but at this stage, I'm not keen on fitting bigger wheels, so for the time being, I'll be interested in other's opinions who have fitted them.
I'd always go front AND rear, I just think that fitting a major brake upgrade to front only, "unbalances" the braking system?

Very, very nice. That will definitely warrant big brakes,

I'm sure now there will be a few people asking for even more pictures & your plans

I will do a build thread when I start putting things together
The short story is I always wanted a V8 90. A proper V8 90 not some crappy 3.5 or 3.9 and I thought sod it now or never.
I think 6.3 liters and 525 BHP will be enough for now......... But I have been researching a company called Whipple I love the whine.
Cheers Rob

PS got a little picture under my name now
