2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black

Building this thread further with Land Rovers spotted in my area... This working Defender now at maintenance at an independent. Poor iphone quality picture taken from a moving city bus.

Yesterday on my way to the office in Geneva city center. Two SVX 110 in line.... I know that the french one in front of me is a daily office commute driver, and has removed both rear mudflaps for at least a year already. A very odd view, not right, imo.

The previous and the next picture clearly show that there is a distinct similar detail between an SVX and the car in front.

Defender Black Edition

Today in the old town.... A very nice new Defender Black Edition. First time I see this, and can not find any trace on the Land Rover website of such limited edition at all, so wonder if this is an edition launched by an individual dealer maybe.
Love it, has nice printed Black Edition decals at the sides and the back, also the Zu wheels in matt black look great with those M/T tires. The inside has the upgraded LR seats, not the Recaros, and otherwise pretty standard.

Much too early now. Motor show is in March, not even discussed yet now. Will start to hear about that unbefore Feb. Don't worry about tickets, there won't be a shortage.

Funny, 3 weeks short of the same day last year. We were walking in town yesterday and spotted this beautiful colour Twisted in exactly the same parking spot as we already spotted it end August last year. To compare, look at the very first picture of my OP.
Now however it was parked there (on a public street) with both front and rear number plates removed.
Still the same gorgeous body colour which cannot really define, and also still those same wheels which don't do it any justice in my opinion.

The DVLA have the original vehicle as SORN'd so perhaps the owner is registering it over there?

They also have it down as white in colour 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone

SORN'd? Not sure I really understand that terminology, but presume it is King English for saying that it has been deregistered from UK road use?
Could well be, I did not pay attention, but looking again at yesterdays picture of the front bumper, it seems that there is a new outline of exactly the size of a Swiss front number plate. So possibly a ex-UK resident who liked it so much here that he decided to come and live here for a while or for good.

Bringing a car registered in a EU country or in the USA to Switzerland as household goods, so as part of a official move to Switzerland, is neither difficult, nor expensive to "Swissonise" and to register here. Have done it myself now many moons ago when we moved here from USA.

If this Defender ever was white, it probably was when it was new, but this is blue, very blue, and a blue that I have never seen before on a Land Rover, so presume a special Twisted respray. Nich truck, just those wheels.

Was parked today by the lake behind the Mrs. Beetle. Nice truck (except for the rusting bonnet hinges screws) and nice number plate.
