Chile 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Stornoway Grey
Just a small note:

I do this mod several years ago, but after parking in a zone near to a radiotransmmiter antenna, the FOB doesnt work anymore and only when I move the car several hundreds of meters from this place the FOB start to work again.

Probably the system where overhelming with all the radiosignals and didnt receive the signal correctly.

Finally and after that I decide to remove the extension and leave as it is.

Cheers to all Eduardo

Hi Eduardo,

In this case, it's the interference and not the extension that is your problem. It will happen even if you didn't extend the antenna.

Someone has yet to come up with a viable solution to this issue to make our vehicles problem free in such areas. This situation happens in inconvenient time and places too, I observe.

If theft isn't a big issue where you are, I reckon you can have the immobilizer disabled and this will solve the issue of no start in high interference areas.
