Battery kill switch
I'm trying to fit a battery kill switch to my 2012 defender but when it is wired up and the switch is activated it kills every thing (this is good as that's what I want it to do,).

The problem I have is that the alarm then goes off! Shocked

Does anyone know how to get around this?

I'm fitting this because I very rarely use my defender.

Any help really appreciated Question

turn battery switch off within 15 secs ( I think it's 15 maybe 10 ) of turning off ignition

I would say not really a good thing to keep turning it off

how rarely do you use it ?

If you have acces to a wall outlet you could fit a small trickle charger? Cheers, Vincent

The normal solution is to have a small fused bypass feed which allows the alarm to remain fed (and central locking if you have it fitted) but which will not support anything greater power-wise and will certainly not permit the vehicle to be started. ONE LIFE, GET IT!

yes that's right but I think he wants to stop the battery running down , so disconnect all together to save battery
