I pushed the damper down from the top mount with one finger, that's where it stayed, not quite that normal Laughing

With mine I only need new bushes really, but for the fact they are getting changed I think as previously mentioned I'll fit new shocks too at the same time.
Agree on the springs coating coming off but that's bound to happen with the movement they are subjected to.
I believe in keeping them flake free I.e. Get all of that off and keep them well Dinitrolled or waxoyled.
As mentioned a few posts back, I think that's normal but they should have a resistance in them with the movement.
Think bonnet or rear gas strut style.
Were the fronts a pig to do? That damned screw on the NS is my nemesis at the moment, namely because I haven't got a tool suitable for removing it.
I'm guessing if I get it out by the threads I'll need new screws anyway after that.
May as well go SS. Whistle

Well I bought the bushes today and all other bits, just waiting for it all to arrive.
Can't wait to have it all sorted the ride is awful at the moment, very 'crashy' so that'll be great.
Might change the anti roll bar bushes some time, shall have to check their condition soon. Whistle
Went for the Polybush Performance shock bushes (red ones) as K9F has.
Thumbs Up

done all the shocker bushes on mine the other day , shockers felt good so just done the rubbers
just used standard rubber bushes as the others lasted ok and its not difficult and doesnt take long to do them

only thing I would say is couple of days before give top and bottom nuts and turret nuts a good spray with wd40 or something each day

You read my mind there, that's exactly what I have been doing and will be doing. Thumbs Up

Just done my rears so far, new performance polybushes and shocks.
Difference is amazing, feels tight, less rattly and very responsive.
Only just done the rears so far and I'm really pleased!
Fronts and steering damper to go, steering damper will be last.
