Dogs and their owners
I've recently managed to upset an neighbour (which I don't like doing) because he started allowing his large dog to use the grassed area in our close as a dog toilet and I asked him not to.

As all 11 houses share the cost of managing this land/grass (which is kept in great shape by the weekly gardener we employ) and the neighbours view is that he is entitled to use this communal land in this way.

It upsets me to see the area used this way, especially when there is a piece of waste ground behind his house the dog could use.

Just wanted to have a rant and get it off my chest...Wink

cheers

Doesn't he use his own garden? Whistle
We have 5 dogs of our own and they only use our own garden.
If out it is cleared up unless it's in the countryside ( where I live anyway) which won't affect people.

He's just had the back garden turfed, so says he can use it for a few weeks.

I get that, but don't use the pristine bit of grass in front of the houses...! He does clear it up, which is something, but I cant believe that a good neighbour would even consider this a proper way to behave.

What's more, he wrote to all the neighbours (we all contribute to managing the land) suggesting I'd been unreasonable asking him to not use the "communal" land.

cheers

Don't get me started with neighbours! Rolling Eyes
I'd imagine if he said that then sooner or later he'll use his own garden.
Trouble is pristine grass and dogs don't mix very well unfortunately, urine will burn the grass too in certain circumstances.
Difficult one.

Hope so, I'll just let sleeping dogs lie (..Wink) I've made my point and he's ignoring it, so not much more worth doing.

cheers

falling out with the neighbours is not good and can be very costly as i found out a few years ago with the neanderthal retard next door.
Murphy our bull cross lurcher was on our enclosed garden when he spotted next doors cat which he munched down like a kit kat! this started a feud whcih ended up costing me and another neighbour about 9 grand extra when we came to having our septic tank replaced.
Jedd Clampit next door protested stood infront of the digger to stop the work the feds were called TWICE and the work was halted despite none of the work being carried out on his property.

I know your proably wound up by it but escalating things just makes things worst, inless your friends with Joe Pesci as George Carlin said " been praying to god with no results but Joe Pesci sorted out that C**k sucker out with just a humble baseball bat"

No escalation on my part. It does annoy me me when people don't respect others, and I'm not one to keep quiet and say nothing. But I've said my bit and that's it. If he continues then there's not a lot I can do and it isn't life or death..Smile

Cheers
