Only managed 38.7 Sad

I gather the 2.2 isn't as economical?

I regularly get 600 out of a tank on mine, 110 2.4, big tyres, IRB tune, driving like I stole it, mind you its LHD and a KM speedo & odometer........375 miles ish!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooooooooooh ! Now that explains a lot .
I'm guessing that toddling up the motorway at 45mph then you must be getting some serious truckers trouble as they overtake you at 60 ?

to be honest I personally would not run that low to often as it could be drawing air bubbles and that is not good for the high pressure pump

we had a rep in from delphi and he said trying to bleed a modern diesel by spinning over on starter trying to get diesel up tp pump could put 20,000 miles worth of wear on the pump , I know this is not the samething really but I would be curious of running that low

No the 2.2's will never do that I know smaller 55ltr tanks in the 90's but 300 absolute best average 260, I did escorting the other week all day Devon to Scotland 52mph all the way and got 360 but seriously no one can drive like that normally. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

I often drive the 450 miles to London and just not possible to sit at 55 .
Geees , I came down from Glasgow today at 50 thinking the world looks nice , until a 40 toner was kissing ma x member .
60 mph on a full tank is a max 320 miles for me .

On my last fill I did 407 miles and used 68.55 litres. Not trying at all, did a little towing and pushed on a little at times.

Mines a 2.2 110 with mtr tyres and have covered 7500 since march.

you're not wrong in your comments but I tend to have a look around and find a Sainsbury or Tesco lorry preferably the tall one that are restricted to 50mph and tuck in behind (not getting in anyones way then) Thumbs Up

and as mentioned elsewhere the m5 has plenty of average speed restriction of 50 at the moment too.

some work gone into that lego caterham Shocked

couldn't possibly do that while driving....I'm too Shocked gazing at the brake lights of the truck in front. Laughing
