Sadly u don't know anywhere around there, but it's a lovely area (I'll be around there in August), so have a good holiday An engine to TDi for!

In La Rochelle / Ile de Re you are in the Marais, reclaimed land so very flat and loads of canals and ditches. You will need to go inland a bit to find the little lanes.
The area I know north of Lucon there are many tracks and green lanes, I've no idea whether you're allowed to drive or not but no-ones ever stopped us yet. These are access roads though, very scenic but normally well maintained and a couple of times we've ended up at dead ends or in farmyards, never had a single crossed word though.
