Why get out and cover your Gucci loafers in mud lowering the Tire pressures, just wait for a Defender driver who will only to happy to get muddy recovering you. Just throw him your loose change as you drive off once recovered. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

I am surprised the on board computer doesn't do it for you tbh, (that's lower the pressures, not throw change to poor people) V8 90...WIP

My truck is going to the dealer tomorrow for some minor warranty work, so just sent them the link to this movie with the comment that luckily they still are able to sell Defenders which at times need to come to the rescue of the newer "Road Rovers"... Laughing You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I had to have assisstance getting the 1948 stand motor off, they were using a Puma 110 double cab to tow a tri-axle Equi-trek horse trailer. The woman driving it got so far and asked for help, I put mine at the front and promptly dug in. The 90 that had winched the Range Rover strapped himself on the front of mine and we both ended up dug in going nowhere. When the female driver of the 110 we were pulling out had some quick education on how to engage low box and difflock we started again and away we went instantly.
It is so frustrating to see people buy Land Rovers and have no idea on how to drive them. It is just another example of the ethos of if there's a problem, chuck money at it and it will be sorted. So these people read that LR's are the best and 90% of the time the motor will do everything they ask of it but when the problem is a little different or technical and requires a certain amount of experience and knowledge on how to use what the motor has to offer, then they will slate the Land Rover they have bought saying that it's useless. There is no substitute for experience and knowledge of the tools you're using.

With all those people stood around so close?

Thought the D90 did a text book recovery very well. The lack of grip for the FFRR was demonstrated very effectively by the speed of the pull even when he appeared to be standing on the brake pedal!

Might have been an Experience vehicle but I wonder who was actualy in the driving seat; having said that, it did look like the perfect slimey conditions that can catch any 4x4 out.

proof if any more was needed that the range rover is just an expensive heavy fashion accessory these days.

Yes the conditions were shocking but I would have expected the best that LR can come up with to make a bit more progress than that Shocked At one point it looks like the D3 is trying to shift a well rooted tree Laughing

That seems overly harsh.

Sometimes the most innocuous of surfaces can defeat even the best equipped vehicle & most experienced driver. Although, the really clever driver gets someone else to drive on these occasions & sits back & laughs as they learn the wet grass lesson.
