Ultragauge - useful sensors
Finally connected my ultragauge after a few months of having it. Also finally figured out how to get metric readings.
I have a few questions to those who have used them for a while:

What sensors are good to check in the line of temperatures? What range is acceptable/safe. I'm upping the intercooler soon and mapping so id like to play it safe.

What other gauges are good to check!

How did you guys get the fuse cover to fit back. Even after I clicked it out of the housing there is hust not enough room it seems.

Hi Marius, I used one of these Y cables I bought on ebay. (added link below)

the one part clips where the original one was, works fine. I also got an OBDII extension cord so I could get the plug from behind the dashboard without too many contortions

I also bend a thin piece of metal and stuck the Ultragauge to it with velcro. It slips underneath the dash and is in front of the empty space between the two dials.

as for which sensors … water temp, MAP PSI (turbo), intake temp, if you still have the EGR active I would have EGR % Flow, Fuel rail PSI … whatever you find important really.

I had mine mapped (BAS) and removed the cat (Alive exhaust) the temps went down, turbo kicked in earlier etc. Major improvement. Never got around to the intercooler … still on the list of things to do.

As far as I know if temps go out of range your engine light will go on. So just run it with the Ultragauge for a bit and you will learn where you car temps and pressures are.

I monitor battery voltage, air intake temp, oil temp/pressure, speed on the main screen. as you know you can programme upto 7 screens.
