So I applied the Fertan stuff and it worked a treat.
Cleaned up nicely with water after the approved 48 hours
And have now applied some etch primer.

One problem, had a slight over spray onto my paint work (the phone rang at exactly the wrong moment)
Any ideas how to remove etch primer from paintwork without damaging the paint? Defender 90 XS TD5 (03 Reg)

Cheers, just tried it and it works a treat.

Also heads up to anyone using Hammerite direct to rust aerosol. The coverage you get is tiny. 0.5m^2 is what they quote and that's probably the very max from what i've seen today Defender 90 XS TD5 (03 Reg)
