Interior cleaning and use of Waxoyl or Dinitrol
Please pardon my ignorance on this topic. I am looking to find out what are the common and most popular cleaning products used here in the UK to throughly clean the interior metal surfaces of the Defender, and if Dinitrol/Waxoyl can be used on the inner parts as well or not? My truck is currently at a restoration specialist and they will Waxoyl the chassis, but when I asked about the interior was told that they don’t do the interior. Appreciate any input so I can try and do this myself, or take it here to a recommended vendor in the Birmingham area.

You can use Waxoyl and Dinitrol internally, but Waxoyl stinks, Dinitrol not so much.
The sticky finish of both will attract dust and anything else, so will need cleaning off with white spirit and re application.

I have coated all internal fasteners with ACF50 which gets rave reviews on here... My truck being brand new I am very much preventing not curing... But it seems to go on quite well and creeps between panels and under bolt heads well

Only interior bits that need doing are the seams (don't forget the seams on the outside)along the floor/transmission tunnel, it will help keep any moisture or condensation from gathering (from any leaks). As fer cleaning use an APC (all purpose cleaner,Flash or Tesco own Daisy is good stuff) for a quick wipe down as its no or low foaming so leaves less residue, and a quick wipe down with panel wipes (Halfords) for a thorough de-grease I'd probably brush it on the interior to cut down on overspray. Also remove the door panels and spray the doors, being careful not to get it on the glass Laughing . Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.
