New discovery unveiled...
https://m.facebook.com/LandRoverOwnerInter...3305724758

Good looking car, if it was just the freelander is be ok. However, a discovery? Hmm

Maybe it will be a grower - and remember it's still a 'concept' so the suicide doors and chrome wheels will probably go and it may get tidied up before production Cheers, David

Fortunately it is a concept, not necessarily the new Discovery!

Not to my taste at all, but I have no doubt that it would be a big seller in the target market.

Urgh. I am a modern Land Rover fan, I own a D4, I like the Evoque, and think the new RRs is exactly what LR intended when they originally put out the concept for the Sport years ago, and it is now a fantastic car.

But that concept does not continue the Discovery theme in any way.

Reminds me of a Q7 which is not a compliment from me! 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

All this is making me sadly more certain that land rover are loosing the plot and I wont like the new Defender.
Glad ive got one im going to keep now, but looks like when mine eventually turns from a daily car to a toy it certainly wont be another land rover on the drive next to it! Defender puma dormobile camper

It has been plastered all over facebook this morning, and all i can say is I am totally indifferent to it. It looks just like most other cars in the same class out there, however I suspect that may well be the point... 2011 110 USW

I do quite like it really, just was a bit of a shock.

Hopefully it'll become a little more serious and chunky for the final thing. Should be hugely capable too Cheers, David

Land Rover in profitable net exporter shock.

British public don't like success and would prefer that LR went back to the P38 and Defender.

I think it looks great Thumbs Up

i do like it too, maybe my first post didn't reflect that.

would just like a) smaller wheels & more chunky tyres
b) revised rear end (why big spoiler?)
c) off road extras optional: winch, mud flaps, roof rack, snorkel etc so that it can be an 'adventure car' too...

but think they're along the right lines... Its all going to rest on the new defender for the brand credibility i think, each brand has its models that they have to get right.

for example jeep have the wrangler, BMW have the M5, VW have the golf, Mercedes have the S Class etc. If these brands messed up with one of them, then the other models in their range would no longer be seen as a 'little bit of the big brother' but just another competitor.

land rover clearly has to get the defender right Cheers, David
