Soft top Keswick 90 - CSK Retro
Well as my soft tops for sale, hopefully soon to be sold as ill be taking offers I went to see my perfect blank canvass to start making my dream keswick green 90. I must admit when I saw it at a land rover show I wanted it then and nearly missed out when I bought my silver one. Very Happy

Its going to be a project for me but for most is perfect the way it is/ was, Its a real tribute to its owner and has been maintained to the highest standards by CSK so thanks for that Very Happy

Plan is leave a lot of Chris' good work, but personalize it to suite me. It wont really be used off road just for work and towing along with being my fun car in one.
Hopefully it will mean i'll never have to change it, It will have a fair amount of changes done to it most obviously being soft top.

Ill try to keep this updated as and when I can with photos which hopefully you'll like. All input is welcome

Heres Chris' thread on it for if you want the back story and hows its changed; http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic14981.html

Cheers Tom Thumbs Up Defender puma dormobile camper

Any pics of the Puma you are selling? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Jobs to do;
Make it look like my first land rover really but in modern spec.

-first off put my classic wooden mountney steering wheel on tomorrow plus the defender 2 sticker!
-take a load of stuff like the tailgate and arches off to the paint shop.
-Cream exmoor hood.
-cream seat covers
-blindo/ terrafirma wheels either silver or cream? what do you reckon?
- standard galvanized bumper
probably a lot more along the way to! just nice to get it home to start work on Thumbs Up Defender puma dormobile camper

Have you thought about limestone wolf/HD rims? That's what I would go for. Put it back to how it was before Chris destroyed it! Laughing (Only joking Chris!) I know a lot of people, myself included, are big fans of the traditional 'utility' look. The 'twisted' alloys do look good in Limestone as well. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

I had, so much so ive even bought a set behind my shed at the moment with the limestone intention! Laughing
Sadly though I was remembering through Rose tinted glasses that i had to repaint the series wheels yearly as I live on a small Island there a lot of salt in the air so they wont last. I think alloys are the way.
Chris' Interior was the main reason I bought it as love the colour and the car since seeing it the shows.
I like the twisted alloys to in cream, but chris is keeping them and dont want to pay the new price so the blindo's look most likely plus I like the style and can put my all terrains onto them. Very Happy Defender puma dormobile camper

I would have thought with the correct etch-priming and primer preparation followed by a couple of coats of wax/sealant after painting you could keep the wolfs rust-free for a fair while. I do think it would look great, and as you have the wheels already. A weekend spent prepping and painting them would be well worth it. But it's your vehicle, so you don't have to take any notice of me! Laughing Was just a thought. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Completely agree with you
Only other reasons aswell the set of rims i bought were tubed so would need tubeless ideally, as well as the fact my Bf goodrich All terrains are like new and wont fit as are 285's so would either need to get them banded or a new set of tyres, which to be honest ive got a fair bit to spend for the hood and painters to spend soon. It might be something ill consider when my tyres are worn out though (not for a while hopefully) but as it there are lots of other bits I want to do as a priority so ive convinced myself it will be much cheaper to buy some new alloys with a classic theme Thumbs Up

Reconditioned wheel is now on and in my opinion looks much better (not bad for £20 and a bit of work plus can sell the other one!), it was a quick swap over at lunch had to do a little trimming of the plastic but fitted well now. Also my card just took a caning for a nice sand coloured hood to be delivered and the frames and tailgate hinges are being made. Defender 2 stickers on the screen now to Thumbs Up
