Light Bar quandary sorted!
The new led light bar turned up today. Deliberation started, where to mount it, didn't want it on the roof rack, couldn't mount it on the bumper as I couldn't access my winch controls, so wanted it mounted at the front. I didn't to cut the front grill. So I did the following.

Mounted a solid Ali bar behind the front grill, bolted on either side, with two 8mm bolts ready for the light bar.

Then grill on, I changed the bolts as they were 10mm too short

Then a nut and washer

Then all mounted and wired up, grill remains untouched and bar is solid!

Now waiting for night to check.

I have most of the bits to do just this! Is it a 12 inch light bar? Where shouts did you bolt the alli bar at the side? I think my alli might be a bit too short! Rolling Eyes 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

Hi, it's a 13.5" bar, my bar just bolts to the sides with a 6mm bolt. The bar was stable, but I also cable tied it to the slam panel bars that run diagonally, I did this for belt and braces and will put a small bolt through it in the future.
