How much for a new clutch in a TD5 110CSW
Just wanted to know if anyone could help me as I am after some quotes to change my clutch in a 110 CSW TD5. Its currently making a whirring sound when i put my foot down on the pedal before engaging gear and I think there is a bit of slipping near third. I think its the release bearing but it would make sense to replace the clutch at the same time!!

Can anyone give advise?

A couple of years ago we took an old Td5 Disco in Part/x which needed a new clutch as it was slipping.
We bought a clutch kit from Bearmach for about £50 and paid a local one man band mechanic £250 to fit it whick took a day (not a bad days work) so total £300 ish. This of course did,nt include a DMF. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Hi Charlie,

Get a second opinion, mine makes a horrible whirry noise too. Mainly first thing in the morning when cold, it is the spigot bush I believe. Even new ones have done it I believe, mine has for 4 years and its fine.

Spigot bush noise is standard fit on a Td5 but don,t worry about it because when the fuel pressure regulator leaks the diesel runs down the back of the engine and into the bellhousing and lubricates it Whistle 2005 Td5 90 XS

New spigot bushes don't squeal if you put a tiny bit of loctite on them when you put them in Thumbs Up
