Central locking retrofit
I am currently undertaking the long and expensive task of turning my basic spec td5 hard top into an xs spec using genuine parts. There are now only three things missing, CDL, heated front screen and a/c. The latter two are in the pipeline but I am currently on the CDL. I have bought the genuine actuators and link rods, but can't find anywhere the connectors that connect to the actuator, and I don't fancy buying a door loom just for the connectors (electric windows already done) they look like mini econoseal type but I'm not sure. Any pointers would be much appreciated Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

The door actuator connectors are Yazaki SSD .050" sealed connectors.

4-way on the driver's door, 2-way on all the others.

The tab size is approximately 1.3mm.

You might also have to buy genuine door harnesses, as the Yazaki SSD connectors are difficult to find.

I've managed to get hold of connectors for the electric windows motors, but I'm still looking for the door actuator connectors.

The 10AS alarm unit also controls the central locking on TD5 and Puma Defenders.

The central locking version differs in having an extra double-pole change-over relay on its circuit board.

These are Discovery 300Tdi units, but they illustrate what I'm saying -

Alarm only

These relays can be soldered to the circuit board (I have the proper relays and the Thermistor that goes across the contact outputs), or you can solder wires to the circuit board and run them out to external relays, like this -

you could try and match genuine actuators to an aftermarket controller.

alternatively if you wanted to try an aftermarket kit then I have heard good things about these people Thumbs Up

What exactly was it that failed though? Like G-Mack, my build is pre-TD5 era, so installing 10AS unit just to get the benefit of a CDL controller seems crazy. I can see the benefit of using genuine actuators and hardware, but for the remote+controller...?
