I have a 3 week old 110. Just confirming, if I complained about the change of gear issue on my first schedule service this should be covered under warrantly?

Yes, if the problem you are experiencing can be attributed to this TSB then there will be no issue with this being done under warranty.

As has been mentioned this affects all Puma's as a design improvement has been implemented.

Also I am sure the spacers are not too expensive and it is a very simple job to complete, so it could be worth doing yourself if you have a vehicle no longer under warranty and you suspect this may help.

What age is your car?

Does it make the shift less stiff, more accurate, not grind, a combination of the above?

Cheers

Mark.

Its a 10 month old 110 SW. Less grind, and more positive.

Will all new models coming out the factory now come with this modification already done?

Can't say for certain as adding additional components and processes to any manufacturing line is not welcomed with open arms.

I would hope that these bushes are fitted as an interim action and then the next batch of brackets produced will hopefully have a revised hole clearance to negate the need for them - after all I'm sure JLR wants the highest level of build quality possible for the Defender! Very Happy

Has anyone done this themselves yet...was it easy? I may just do it myself rather than waste 2 hours taking it to a dealer... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)
