South West Off Road Morning? Sat 19 Oct 13
i was lucky enough to be driving around David Bowyers Off Road Course last week and got chatting to David about the possibility of having another drive round his course for Defender2 owners.

Would anyone be interested in coming along to a morning at his course to drive around as you wish to gain an understanding of what your vehicle can do.

It is a dedicated training course so has something of everything, side slopes, 500mm wades, climbs, rocks, mud, some man made obstacles and obviously descents.

I was thinking it would make a good opportunity for some of us to get together and meet up, say with off roading 0900 to 1200hrs followed by lunch at the Waie Inn.

It would work with up to 6 vehicles i reckon, with as many people that you have seat belts for within the vehicle.

I am happy to book the morning with David and pre-book a table for lunch at the Waie Inn.

There would be a cost implication for the use of the course and TPL. lunch you would pay yourselves to the Waie Inn.

So proposal for a forum meet with off roading for:

6 vehicles
Any number of people in each vehicle
0900 - 1200hrs (ish) off roading
1230ish Lunch at Waie Inn
Cost 20 per vehicle.

Suggested date Sat - 19 Oct 13

First come first served with payment to confirm your place.

Will try to find some pictures of the site later to give you an idea of what its like

Course is suitable for all types of 4x4 with 500mm wading capability, Contis or TRs would also work fine there, just stay out of the deeper mud! Cheers

Hi James, I would be up for this trip - a good opportunity to get the new one off-road without worrying about damaging it! It is unlikely at this stage but not impossible that we could be moving house that weekend so I may not actually make it.

Cheers

Chris
