Land rover badge is on the front grill already so may have thought to change it to "defender" on the bonnet. Also We used to see the "defender " black and silver sticker on the front grill frame for older models but not for puma. Very Happy Very Happy

I am going to buy that Defender "sticker" for the front of our Puma, when it arrives, it looks like there is a spot there just made for it!
Cheers, Pickles.

Why would they change the bonnet letters to Defender rather than Land Rover? I like the fact it is a Land Rover and would prefer my new one to say Land Rover?
Do you get the choice?

Being a cynic (or conspiracy), when most people think Land Rover they think Defender/series. Is this Land Rovers way of moving away from this in readiness for the Defenders cessation?

Correct, but there's still the same spot on the Puma bonnet, where it will fit beatifully.
Cheers, Pickles.

have to agree with supacat on this one, my 90 HT (no tc/abs) used to slide across the road a little if doing an emergency stop in rain.. 110 xs (w/ tc/abs) pulls up beautifully every time

TC is a big help off road too? wheres the problem? stuff goes wrong on defender anyway, no point missing out on good stuff 99.99% of the time just to avoid the possibility of .01% time going wrong Cheers, David
Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8.

Any new colours? May just get another Firenze red one, but Nara bronze would be good.

Hmm. Things must of changed since I bought mine in 2008 even the salesman said tc just got you in more trouble than what it was worth
Plus I was a always going to fit lockers so it didn't matter

My money is on quite the opposite in terms of Defender. LR bonnets will cover off their target SUV segments of luxury, leisure and dual-purpose. My cash is this will map onto RANGE ROVER, DISCOVERY or DEFENDER brands with models within each brand. The Defender brand will be strengthend by this and then when new product comes along further expanded. Unfortunately, what we all know as Defender will be dead by then Sad

Craig 2015 110 USW XS in Santorini with premium contrast leather seats in tan/black, black headlining and with Dual Finish alloys (in the garage, now on Wolf rims with Goodyear MT/Rs)

2012 '62' 2.2 X-Tech 110 USW now gone ...
1984 90 soft top with full roll cage, 200 tdi engine etc now sold
2012 USW XS 2.2 "FUU" now gone....
