Mobile phone question?
for any mobile phone experts.
I have an iPhone 5 which works well except at home, where there are some dead spots for phone reception. Is it possible to set it up so that if someone phones and there is no reception then the call can be put through to the house phone? either over the BT network or via the wireless network to my BT house phone? We have a weak signal at home and all our mobiles are on the same network (vodafone) got in touch with customer services and they sent us a signal booster box out,now enjoy a full signal in and around the house. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Not quite the same idea, but if you have a half decent broadband connection this is pretty neat, it broadcasts a small local 3g signal. I've used at my house where signal can be poor indoors....it's good.

I think you have to be with Vodafone though?

Same as above. The box is called sure signal, only works for Vodafone. Bu is good, and if you phone them up and tell them you are leaving due to poor signal, the box is often supplied free.

If your not on Vodafone, then all, the above will be no help.

If yr on Vodafone you can get a sure signal box from them that acts as a cell. A routes call over broadband
If your with O2, thers an app you can download for free that uses wifi / broadband if the cell signal isn't available ( I use this, it actually works!)

What network are you on.

If your with Vodafone you can use the above.
If your with O2 you can use TuGo which routes phone calls over the wifi network.

Failing that you can set up call diverts so if you don't answer your phone it'll divert to a landline. Check your operators website you can set it up with a certain number of key presses on the phone.

FOr the iphone 5 do this -> http://deviceguides.vodafone.ie/web/apple-...ve-number/

Just set up a call divert to your landline number if your handset is unreachable.

Pretty much all phones can do it. Check the EE website and somewhere there will be the number to dial to set it up. Or some handsets have the features embedded in the menu system.

Thanks All for your help. The new EE help wasn't working but with a bit of digging found the codes etc: to set up the iPhone to transfer calls to home number when unreachable, and seems to work OK so far. Thumbs Up LANDYWATCH

Good stuff. I had to do the same when I got an iPhone. I wasn't aware that O2 (and only O2) use the visual voicemail system rather than the old fashioned one you have to phone. This requires a 3G connection and will not work over WiFi or 2G networks. No O2 3G here so I can't use my voicemail Sad

Solved by diverting all unanswered calls to my work phone, which has a good old fashioned normal voicemail!

I've got a Vodafone sure signal at work and its crap it never seems to work, I have to re-set it every day then it works for a bit and crashes. I hate Vodafone almost as much as I hate my blackberry, but cant change either!
