Dash Switches
Hi,
I'm looking to install some auxiliary lighting on my td5 110, my hazard light, fog, rear wiper and rear washers are on square switches located on the top of a centre console which also holds the radio. There are 2 blanks next to these switches and I would like to use these for the aux lighting. I have done the searches but cannot find these switches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The proper auxilliary lighting switch is part no. YUG000540LNF but it's become very expensive in recent years:

Great work, thanks, your searching skills put mine to shame. £53.56 inc the vat!! Ouch!! Arjay Motor Factors it'll be I think. It's extremely difficult to justify the best part of £55 for a simple on/off switch!

I've had another idea, is there any reason why I can't get a second rear fog light switch and mount it upside down? It'd almost look identical to the front fog switch but cost £9 and not £55.

TD5 heated seat switches are silly money.

I did think of some sort of latching relay but couldn't think how to make it work, could you put up circuit diagram please ?

I think would be correct, with one output left clear. I imagine there is a better alternative, but brain function is not yet 100%!

That same switch also exists in a different version. The looks are identical, but it is a latch on / latch off switch.
When my dealer installed my front fogs, he used that switch for the fogs in the empty space on the Puma.
It is wired up so that the fogs will only come on together with the parking lights or low beam, go off again with high beam. But if you leave the switch in the latch on position, when switching back from high beam to low beam, the fogs will come on again. Surely you could use that switch which probably is cheaper for any aux lamps. It is the same function principle as the now expensive YUG000540LNF. Don't have a price or part number, but ask a decent LR dealer.
Below is a picture with at the left side the rear fog light switch which is like Go beyond explains, and on the right side is the switch with the same looks, but latch on / latch off type.

Use a tdci heated seat switch but replace the cap with the blank cap. All you need to do is drill a small hole for the light and you can scratch any picture you want into the blank cap. I think paulmc on here did a write up on lro about it a while back but I can't find it now Crying or Very sad

Not sure about the switch p/ns more modern landies have, but a Durite p/n 0-728-02 latching relay will take a momentary switch input and give you proper on/off functionality.

 Real trucks don't have spark plugs
