Wow that already looks impressive. Nice job! My new seats gave less room in the back... Really interesting to see the pictures when you fitted them, so far so good. And then ofcourse some measurements Smile

Slight delay, but she's back. My son will thank me for having his own minibar! Mr. Green

Nice job there Allan. Is this the same workshop that fitted the teak decking to the rear load space. Fantastic attention to detail Next time you come to Wales I expect that fridge to be full of continental beer and it can go back filled with lamb. Smile

Same shop indeed Mark. Their attention to detail is great and I'm always confident they get the job done. Even the electric scheme has been prepared for my future modifications, so that I'll save on labour next time.

Even when it's in a 130 it's not mini at all Smile But looking really nice, vakwerk!! Do you have before/after calculations for legroom? Martin changed my position so it declines but maybe i need your setup as well or get an extra car.

Haven't measured it, but it really makes a difference. Martin can sit behind me now.
We'll make sure you can test it soon.
I think Exmoor is the only option if you need three seats in the back though as three original seats are never going to fit.

Off the shelf is nigh on impossible. I've worked a bit on the floor myself preparing the holes to fit the seatbase. They all must have been done by 'eye' in the factory. The seatbase in mine was also quite a bit more to the right instead of exactly in the middle.
What really amazed me was how flimsy the original seatbase felt when I took it out and how soft the aluminium of the bodywork is. Like you could drill holes in it with a drill made out of a toothpick. Mr. Green
Anyways, for anyone interested, I can highly recommend Landreiziger. The only downside for most of you would probably the distance.

Thanks for the compliments anyone.
I'll be back at the drawing board for my own custom made cubby box now. Stay tuned! Laughing

Looks great.
If you get a minute in the next few weeks would you be able to post a picture of one of your rear seats folded forwards. Im interested to see how far it goes as have some plans for a double cab and that looks the sort of conversion i'd like to do.

Cheers Tom Thumbs Up

Ps. love everything you have done to this, along with the teak its looking a real quality build Defender puma dormobile camper

Tom, no problem. I'll put some photos online end of the week.
If you take out the seat of the front and the rear to place them in the footwell and the headrest of the front seat, you can fold both backrests completely horizontal. I'm guessing in ten years time, when I have shrank a little further, I could use that as a single bed. Whistle
You won't be able to do that on the drivers side unless you have a removable steering wheel.

This is absolutely great! I am planning two separate seats with a fridge in the back in due time, so I will have to coma and visit you someday! Dordrecht is not that far from the Eindhoven area...

Any details on who made this? Defender 130 HCPU Td5 MY2000

Your welcome to have a look. The seat box has been designed for my exact needs and plans for the near future. It's done by Landreiziger in Dordrecht. Less then 10 minutes from my home. Having a workshop like that so close to me has proven to be bad for my bank account... Embarassed
You can also find more information on their website under Landreiziger Atelier Liu.
