A few from me
Well you know how it is, you park in a supermarket, and when you go back to your Land Rover, there is another one next to it - spotted this Belgian TD5 in Cochem on the Mosel in Germany

Also in Cochem - this well travelled 110

Also spotted this Puma in Breda, Holland - note the slight raised roof extension

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Happened to me the other day, came out and there were two 90's parked either side of my 110.

All in a Lidl carpark!

Those raised rooves are a tax classification jobbie aren't they? Cheers, David

Ah, they might be. The drivers side window (its LHD) was also blanked out from the inside, so what you see is in effect a 'dummy' window.

I was wondering why. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Yeah well don't quote me on it but I thought that in holland vehicles over a certain height(presumably just over defender height) can be a different tax class? (Not 100% sure why) Cheers, David

Yes, it is a tax classification. To apply for business tax classification a shape of 125 x 20 x 98 cm (length x width x height) must fit in the load space. So the boot has to be 98 cm height, therefore a small section of the roof has to made higher.

Strange tax systems here in the Netherlands. For my Defender 110, as a private owner, I have to pay 2180 € (yes, that much! Big Cry Big Cry ) annually road tax. The same car, as a business car, is 460 €. But to apply as business car you have to have a real business of course, and the car has to be commercial - therefore to boot dimensions. Cheers, Vincent

^^ I was shocked when I was in Holland only last week with regards to prices, and taxes! The raised roofs look very "bodgit and scarper" to me Laughing An engine to TDi for!
