Grinding noise
I keep getting a grinding noise that I'm hoping someone can help me with. The sound comes from the middle to rear of my 110, and only happens at around 110-120 km/h, only on light or no throttle, but under compression. It's more noticeable when I'm negotiating a bend, as opposed to going straight, but does sometimes occur then. It's not a high pitched diff whine. Classic scenario would be when I'm going down a steep hill, with either a gentle left or right bend.

Thanks in advance.

Rob

It's the rear propshaft, nothing serious if you can stand the noise. The only cure is to change it with a TD5's one (from the "SALISBURY" rear Diff model). NOT A TRANSIT

I get this noise too. Can't say if it is less noticeable on a bend, but if this were the case it could indicate a diff.

Mine does it especially on a long journey when backing off the throttle between 100 - 120kph. It won't do it below 100kph. Comes from the centre/front. I have told the dealer who claims not to be able to hear it.
