Yep, don't drive on the salt flats until they've dried out after the winter.
July, Aug, Sept are the best months.
Definetly don't dig ruts in the speedway course, the guys doing well over 200mph don't like it. Shocked

Here's Bonneville Speedway when I visited in April 2017.
We did manage to find a patch of salt dry enough to drive on.
