A quick drive yesterday after replacing the drive flanges and it appears some of the slop in the drive line has been removed. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Mine is due in for new front Brake disc and pads on Thursday, Went out this morning to clean it and tidy the boot as full of stuff I don't need in their... (kids stuff Laughing )

Anyway could I find the little container I have the 2 x wheel lock bolts and special socket.

NOT anywhere, looked everywhere, lifted third row of seats, underneath, in the cases I have in the boot with tools and tow ropes etc... NOTHING Big Cry Big Cry

Think.... I collected some furniture the other day, all seats down could it have fell out?....

Then thought look in the Cubby box and as I did I reach over the passenger seat and a eureka moment... Under the bl---dy seat !!!!! So lift off the seat and little container is their Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Happy days as I'm sure there are ways of getting them off but I have 2 on each alloy....

So I cleaned it and took this picture with the lads Smile

Then I finished sanding down a spare bumper, and rust proofed it before spraying primer.

removed roof rack and weaselled it into the garage, I had literally 5mm space between the roof and garage door so I took precautions and stood on the ball hitch whilst the wife reversed it in.

Thanks, it's a bit of a mess at the moment with all the things on the side, try to keep it as tidy as possible as all its used for it to park my old cars in.

I have a unit on my parents farm I use for doing mechanical repairs and making the mess!

Today I went to North Yorkshire the furthest I've been in the Puma 445 miles round trip and very cold.I was up at 4.30am quick shower and into the 90 by 5am started first turn of the key ,heated seats on and away, was please to feel hot air around my feet in a couple of miles ,the Mud heater thing did a great job of keeping the heat on my feet and not burning my leg also the Speaker headlights really do give off a nice light again money not wasted.Radio stopped working about one hour into the journey ,it seems it does not like getting hot because it works around home on short drives.Stopped at Stamford for fuel and coffee and then on to Harrogate ,just on the way into the town theirs a show ground which is open all year round for breakfast, £10 lighter and a stone heavier my destination was only 10 mile's up the road and that's where I collected my Fire and Ice Recaro seat's also they sold me a Alpine Radio/CD just hope it works better than the last one Rolling Eyes Now homeward bound never as much fun.The 2.2 Puma behaved it shelf and at speeds of around 70 MPH was quite comfortable ,noise level was low thanks to the Dynamat fitted by CSK ,wind noise even with the wind defectors was high ,but part of the built in styling ,back home by 3pm and ready for a glass of wine.Hope to get the seats fitted and some pictures tomorrow.

Put it inside as I've a few things to fit, and I can now do it at home after work in the comfort of a heated garage Very Happy

I spent last night running up and down both side of it with the rotary polisher and some 3m ultra cut to remove some scratches from the prickly hedges and green lanes, looks a lot better for it, sealed the glass with G techniq C5 too and this makes a world of difference to driving in bad weather, and even defrosting the glass in winter
