Yesterday I put my cat back on to save any hassle at tomorrows MoT, I've noticed a difference, the turbo doesn't spool up as quickly, I do not have as much lower end torque which I really noticed today when towing a trailer up a hill. Don't get me wrong, the power is there but you can't feel the benefit of it unless you're using higher revs, I noticed I had to slightly change my driving style.
I treated the motor to a new set of number plates this afternoon, the old ones were borderline for the MoT, front one cracked and the back one is starting to delaminate, so a new pair with the GB thingy on the side so if I ever go across the water I shouldn't have to stick a GB sticker on. |

Another satisfying trip to the MoT station today, just the one advisory, Panhard arm bushes which I knew about anyway, they just haven't been delivered yet. It is such a great piece of mind to know that my maintenance of the motor is up to scratch and I know that the MoT certificate is just a record on the roadworthiness of the vehicle on one particular day of the year but I do like to think that I keep my motor in that state for the rest of the 12 months inbetween and would like to think that I could put it in for an MoT at any time and not have any major headaches.

You know it's time to get out more when...
You find yourself taking all day cleaning all of the 90's rubber seals (inside & out) before painting them with Vaseline to stop them perishing & hopefully keep the water out TT "Ease your worries, Clear-up your woes, Go into your garage & put stuff into rows." |

Agree with @JimBob7, avoid Vaseline on rubber... Use Gummi Pflege as a much better option... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |
