So they ended up being rather expensive spots after all that... 
Really do like the look of those though, well balanced with the headlights... 
What make/type would they be?...  Rog...

Stopped on the hard shoulder of the M6 to untangle the rear mudflap from the tyre. By the time I realised what was happening a big chunk of mudflap had been eaten. Emergency repair carried out using zip ties.

Yes, I believe it is a common problem. Never had a problem before.

Yeah it's pretty standard. It once drove a friend mad, smelt burning rubber, stopped, looked....couldn't see anything..repeat etc !!
Though I towed a t@b off-road caravan without any issues  |

Depends on the caravan shape and speed, but on a 90 the airflow sucks the mud flaps up into the tyres and it burns a notch into the flap!

For some reason the aerodynamics of towing a caravan causes the rear NS mud flap on a 90 to flip forward on yo the wheel. The wheel then eats the mud flap whilst the exhaust melts it!

Lightforce Striker 170s. I believe I bought them from Brendan/Leeds, but it was so long ago I can't remember.
They nicely fill out the main beam so that I can see further into the distance when driving on the back lanes through the woods. Probably not strictly necessary, but I bought them before upgrading main headlamps to Wipac Crystals and going for the 110% bulbs. Just need to stop the relay buzzing now. I have both spots through one 40A amp relay and I'm not sure its man enough. Sometimes sticks on. I have found a claimed 70A relay via ebay. Anyone know of any reputable double output relays rated to more than 40 Amps, that will fit a standard mini relay socket? |

A 40A relay is more than adequate for two 100w spots.
I'd change it to a quality manufactured one. (Quality varies) My current one is from VWP and that's been on about three years now and is going great. If it's sticking it's most likely on its way out / corroded. |

There only a few quid from a decent auto electric factors or you can go up a bit and get ones with fuses in. I have 6 x 100w spots on mine and run them as pairs through 40 amp relays and never had a problem for the past 7 years they've been on various motors.

Never seen the point in the Relays with fuses in as they need to be fused as near the battery as possible anyway.
Depends if that's where you want to locate the relays or not. In my case not, I have an in-line fuse near the battery and relay under bonnet. |

Fitted tweeters to the top of the dash......
