Another Halfords bargain
Garmin Nuvi sat nav. Priced down from 130 to 99. Reviws are at 4.4 of 5 stars by 68 reviewers. And I'd recommend Garmin myself too. Even more of a sweet deal considering full UK and EU lifetime maps are worth 74.99 on their own (Guess how I know)

Halfords have been pretty keen with their pricing of Garmin products - got a 35 series one recently from them.

Whilst the unit is good using the online updating service has proved problematic to say the least; and file sizes for full updates are massive.

Express failed initially and then tried MapUploader - that failed also.

Went back to Express and that has now worked - no idea why other than a software update to 7.90...quite a long winded and frustrating process but hopefully I'll have forgotten that by the time it's due it's next quarterly update Surprised

I have had nothing but problems with the new updating software. The Express doesn't support the 276c so it refers you back to Map Uploader which has had an update as well so that doesn't work either... Ggggrrrrrr!!!! Not impressed Mr Garmin! I guess I'll have to keep on persevering! Any suggestions welcome, apart from, get a new satnav!

I must admit I found it a pain in the preverbial myself too. I've also had issues dependant on which browser I use also. Personally though for that actual Sat Nav quality and the mapping details it's worth it. The full Uk & EU mapping lifetime subscription is also expensive. BUT you get what you pay for.
