2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Cairns Blue
rear passenger door cards help reqd
when i was installing a pair of door stay extenders i gently prised off the door cards to be able to install a couple of bump stops and it appears that i have sh@gged up the door trim clips.

i did not remove the whole door card but the trim clips look as though they were bonded onto the door card; were being the operative word.

has anyone got experience of these fixings (fcx Matt?) and best solution to my problem.

i was tempted to drill through the door card so i had an easily assessible trim clip like the older door cards

just out of interest is there a special tool for removing the door cards so that the clips don't need rebonding; or is it just a slow and steady careful pry off with a screwdriver?

There are trim pad removal tools available but they don't guarantee success - it really is a case of taking it slow.

Ken's way is also fine, I meant some form of adhesive, not necessarily Gripfill

Black silicone and gaffer tape, easy to remove every 6 months to repair the central locking cables.....

The clips break more easily in cold temperatures, so get the vehicle in a warm place if you can. Steve.

Just needing help with window winder removal, as I'm taking rear passenger door card off.

Does the winder just pull off?
work off with wide bladed screw driver?

I've removed everything else, just didn't want to get aggro with the winder until I knew which technique to use.

Press the door card by the winder handle towards the outside of the vehicle and you will nearly see a spring clip round the shaft of the winder handle.

Carefull pop the spring clip off with a suitable pointy thing and the andle will come off. Alternatively a rag passed round the winder shaft can be used to pop the clip off.

Once you've seen how it's fixed, it isn't difficult to take them off.
