Wanted engine 2.4 tdci for 57plate
To cut a very long story short and to keep my blood pressure down. I’m in need of an engine for my 57plate 110 low miles preferably, and low cost would be even better. If anybody knows where I might find such a thing please get in touch. I haven’t had my landy since the 14th of November and I’m getting kind of grumpy about the whole situation.
Fingers crossed Mark.. Its not how fast you go, it's how little you slow down!

Why does it need a new engine?
Well I might be able to get away with a rebore and new pistons etc and then I will have an engine with even thinner walls and I’m not sure about the tolerances anyway. Third party warranty no longer paying out as they paid for the fuel injectors. And as they/garage seem to think that’s what’s caused the overheating and breaking down of the little end in the second piston.

Parts and labour are going to get quite expensive my thoughts were to get a second hand engine swap them over relatively easy. then start stripping and selling the good parts from mine to help cover the cost. Also I just want my car back on the road then I can have a long winded battle in court. Td5 commercial any chance of a bit more info on J pm would be great. Its not how fast you go, it's how little you slow down!

Should be able to get a low mileage one for £1500-2000. Have you tried likes of equicar4x4 or copart?

I have tried equicar and no luck. Haven’t tried copart will do that Monday.

Was hoping with all this snow and ice that there might have been a few landys with smashed up rears and perfect engines but it seems not. Its not how fast you go, it's how little you slow down!

Oops! Sorry, I mean j e engineering, very sorry about that. Also try John daunter (www.Landroverbreaker.com) they break modern land rovers.
I expect cws may have one but I personally would not buy one from them, I've had a few bad experiences with them!
