Alarm and central locking problem
Hi i hope this is in the right section but if not sorry. I have a 53 plate td5 110 csw with a central locking/alarm fault. The problem is that the central locking and alarm don't work at all!!! When you press the key fob nothing happens (no lights flash or alarm noise) but the fob has been checked and is working. The car still starts and runs so i'm guessing that the immobiliser doesn't work either. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it. I have a second hand alarm ecu that i was told worked but when i asked a local landrover specialist he said if i fitted it and they coded my key fob too it and it didn't work they want nothing to do with it which got me a bit worried as i don't want to swap it over and then be stuck with a car that won't start as i need it every day. well sorry for the esay but if anyone could help it would be greatly appriciated
Cheers
Ray

Was it that way from the start or suddenly?
I believe the dealer can switch it on and off. I know he can switch the immobiliser off.

Or you can do it yourselves with a faultmate or something like that. Roel

It could be an easy fix if nothing is wrong. But then why did they switch it off? Roel
