When I neeeded to replace mine, I found that the cost of the whole nozzle assembly was less than the cost of the bit that pops off on its own.

I came to the conclusion that to supply just the bit that falls off, they have to pay someone to take an assembled one, pop the squirty bit off, then dispose of the unwanted bit and repackage to wanted bit. It was the only explanation I could come up with for a significant difference in price!

I did this (Td5). Much happier now. (Not my link). The kit when I got it had one pipe too short and the supplier acknowledged some mots were like that with the ore-cut lengths, but then didn't do anything about it. Poor service, so I popped down to a garden centre and bought some irrigation hoze (enough for about 50 Defenders, need to find something in the garden to irrigate!) and job done. Easy fit.
