I can only really reply on the 2nd and 3rd questions so in order -
Please, please at this time stay away from any plug in chip as a re-map is a much better option and it wont be long before a OBD version is available 
If you do go for a chip and I really would advise against, even for the journey then get in touch with Allisport as their one is the best available at this time but again just enjoy the 2.2 for what she is for the trip till a re-map is available. I found the 14" Momo to be the best size on the Defender unless you are going offroad alot as it becomes very heavy offroad

"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence. "TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you. |

im looking at getting a momo steering wheel at the moment too.
I think the Nero or Jet are the nicest in the pumas and have been told that the 14' or 350mm are the most common size, although i would like to know if anyone has a 320mm size? They look pretty cool but might be too small? As for the chip, i agree with japseroony, dont get one! 
Get a remap if you can. Speak to Alive Tuning to see if they have theirs ready for the 2.2. I plan to get up there to get my 2.4 sorted by them as it supposed to be the dogs!!

Nobody has cracked the 2.2 yet

best wheels imo are the momo nero and the jet, the only downside to the nero is the suede wears out very quick
 but its the one i have and love it and just dont seem to touch the suede so its fine. you can find the momo wheels for sale on my site along with boss's and quick release boss

This is an easy choice!, Alive/Bell Auto remap and a cruise control from Tim at Mobilecentre. Last would be one of those nice looking steering wheels.

Alive will be releasing an all new billet steering wheel boss for 36 and 48 spline fitments, very soon. Avoid the Momo and Mountney bosses, as they're very poorly made, and you'll have problems with them fouling on the steering cowl, and the indicators not cancelling.
You can be sure we'll have a lot to say about the 2.2 remapping, as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, keep away from common rail tuning boxes, if you're planning on keeping this car. |

Hey killer have you seen a 320 wheel fitted?
And with the boss on your site, how far does it bring the wheel out? And does it cancel the indicators? I'm thinking of getting the Nero or jet. Prob get one of those steering guards while I'm at it! |

I've seen a 320mm steering wheel fitted, and they're way too small! The difference between the 350mm and 320mm is immense.

I agree 320mm is small I've driven a friends Def 90 with a steering wheel that's too small its not a nice drive and dangerous if you catch a curb or something you wont hold it

I have just (last weekend) installed the Mobile Centre cruise control into the FCX 130.
I can't comment on it's operation as the vehicle is still being assembled, but I can comment on the quality of parts (excellent) and the ease of installation .... one hole in the steering column cowl to install the stalk, plug and play connection at the throttle, 1 wire to the clutch switch (engine side of bulkhead - easy to access), 1 wire to brake pedal (again easy access), 1 wire to loom behind dash clocks, live and earth - Bobs your mothers brother
