200tdi 90 h reg
should i buy a h reg 90 hard top with a 200tdi engine has done 130,000mile its had a new clutch,gearbox,exhaust,wheel spacers,diff gaurds,rock sliders,chassis is good, small amount of corrosion in corners of the bulkhead,the guy wants £2500 only problem is reverse the new gearbox worked fine then reverse got harder to select now it wont go in at all could be a quick fix?.what do you guys think regards price and the reverse issue.

Well if it suits your needs, and you can afford it, and you want it, then buy it. It seems a decent price, but the gearbox would probably need repair by a specialist, not really a DIY job, An engine to TDi for!

France 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Alpine White
Would be worth doing a search, I can remember something about the indent springs and bearings messing up but being repairable in heh car on a LT77 box.

Also they run ATF, yes ATF in the gearbox not gear oil, this can lead to non changing gears.

Box was same / same family as the TR7, jaguar etc.
