Swap/Sale SVX Steering guard blade
Hey folks,

After fitting my Winch bumper it turns out that my SVX steering guard blade no longer fits. I have spoken to Mantec who confirm that the non SVX blade will fit.

So

I will be looking at either swaping mine for a flat one in as new condition

or

Selling it for £100- RRP of this is £180

or

if the interest is there I will sell it as a full steering guard for £200- LR price for this item is £310

Holy cow that was quick!! What are you looking for- is it the whole thing?

I am back in Wales at the moment but will be up in Halifax and Ripon soon as that is where the missus is and where I will be working from the 1st Sept. I guess this will help?

As long as i get all the nuts n bolts.
And yes Halifax or Ripon would suit me better, i,m in ripon this weekend Camping, Sat/Sun/Mon Returning Tues,

Whenever suits you though mate to be honest.

No problems Chalky.

What I will do is buy the full kit I need today for mine and just use the blade from the kit- Therefore you will get the brand new frame and fixings for yours when I am up next. I should be up Yorkshire some time over the next 2 weeks.

Just wondering if the bracketry and gubbins on the normal steering guard are the same as the SVX one ?

As my mate has an SVX and after looking at his to-day it looks pretty substantial and so does all the brackets and bolts ?

I have been in talks with Mantec for the last week now. The only difference is the Blade (it is bigger) all the steel brackets and bolts etc are exactly the same. I will mae sure 100% when the new one gets here Smile

Ey up Steve,

He is just confirming it is for an A/C car- in the picture it loos like it won't fit. I will let you know when he gets back to me.

Hi Chalky,

The new one has arrived. I have fitted the blade to mine and confirmed all the brackets are the same. I now have the kit ready to go. I will be heading up to Halifax on Friday night- will be there for the weekend if this is good for you.

Should be out there by Feb/March time- At least I will have my first Christmas in the UK for 4 years as it is a summer tour for a change Very Happy. Not to mention buying a Range Rover when I get back........OK, maybe I won't have that much saved up!
