DO NOT buy one of these keys if you have the XENG steering lock shroud fitted or thinking of getting one.

Transponder in key will not communicate with coil that has to be repositioned to fit XENG shroud Sad

2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White
Hello Daniele,
thanks for your effort.
After copying the key by the key service and coded by Nanocom, the indicator light flashed twice during unlocking and 4-times during locking, which is one time too much and indicates a weak battery. I measured the battery with 2.84 Volts and replaced it with an identical (CR1220) one. I placed the new battery positive pole upwards in.
Now neither the red lamp works while pressing a button nor am I able to lock or unlock. By the way I measured the new battery with 3.23 Volt.

What do I need to do now and why is the battery in a new key already low or empty?

Must the red light in the key iluminated, if I press a button?

Kind regards
Comandante

Mine does this too, didn't realise it meant the battery was weak!

My 2.2 2013 refused the pod! It was not possible to pair the key with my car using the pod. Today I visited my dealer - after 15 min work everything works fine. No problem for my dealer to learn the new key to my car.

Cheers

Late 2012, with 13 plate updates already in it and has had no issues. Just plugged the pod in, left it and then the key worked. No issues at all and a great integrated key ===================================
